The project
Working with a client through Multitrade Building Hire, Multitrade modified a 40 ft container into a compact crib and ablution facility for mining use. The layout combines a kitchen and lunch area with two toilet compartments, each with its own external access and hand basin. The fit-out included insulation throughout, reverse-cycle split-system air conditioning, kitchen appliances and a water bubbler. External floodlights and a metal distribution board with lockouts formed part of the project specification. The photographs show the fitted-out container in the yard, including the crib room, toilet compartment and external services. Container modifications bring the internal layout, openings, finishes and specialist electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning work together around the intended use.
