The project
Multitrade completed a staged mining camp relocation, moving 18 accommodation buildings and two laundries from an existing site through yard refurbishment to installation at a new location. Demobilisation included civil demolition and removal of the existing awnings. At the Multitrade yard, preparation included detailed cleaning, internal fit-out changes and new furniture, together with coordinated specialist electrical and plumbing upgrades for the new mining specifications. The buildings were then transported to the new site and installed on screw piles. Multitrade supplied nine new steel-chassis deck modules with composite timber decking, erected the deck awnings onsite, and delivered concrete pathways, stairs and landings to connect the accommodation areas. The photographs document foundation and deck installation, concrete work and later views of the installed access.
