Bring your carpentry skills to a role with variety. Join Multitrade in Gladstone, working across portable and modular building installation, refurbishment, maintenance and construction for mining, commercial and construction clients.

The work

  • Read drawings, check measurements and plan the materials and sequence needed for the job.
  • Install and repair building frames, floors, wall linings, doors, windows and finishing details.
  • Work on portable and modular buildings, from site installation and fit-out to repairs and refurbishment.
  • Build and maintain decks, ramps, stairs, landings and covered access areas.
  • Work alongside other trades and apprentices, keeping the site tidy and communicating progress and any issues.
  • Follow site inductions, safe work methods and quality checks, and take pride in a sound, well-finished result.

What you will bring

  • Carpentry trade qualification and practical building experience.
  • Current Construction White Card and driver’s licence.
  • Confidence reading plans and using hand and power tools safely.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a practical approach to solving problems.
  • Reliability, clear communication and attention to workmanship.
  • Availability for site travel and working away as projects require.

Location & travel

The role includes local work, site travel and periods working away. It is not a FIFO roster. We will discuss project locations, working-away arrangements and employment conditions with you during recruitment.
